Who we help

Accounting for sole traders, limited companies and startups

01

Your business is already running

The admin keeps growing: receipts, VAT, payroll, contracts, letters from the Tax Administration. We take it over and tell you plainly where the money is going. Sole traders and limited companies alike.

02

You're starting a company

In the first months you make choices that are hard to undo later, such as the company form and when to register for VAT. We help you think them through and, if needed, prepare the budget for a Tempo or Migri application.

03

Foreign entrepreneurs and companies

The business ID, OmaVero and the Incomes Register are new to many people. We explain in English what they mean in practice and file the notifications for you.

  • Moving from toiminimi to an Oy? We go through your figures: what the change would mean for tax and for the split between salary and dividends, and what it involves.

    Book a consultation
  • Tempo funding or a startup permit. We prepare the budget and calculations for the application, also for an Oy that is already trading. The authority makes the decision on funding or the permit.

  • Construction and transport. We know construction and subcontracting agreements and financing for vehicles and machinery.

Why Emberg

Within the law — and in your company's favour

Accounting law leaves some room for choice. We show you the options and what each one means for tax and cash. You make the choice.

  1. 01

Your goal first, then the entries

Cash flow, the timing of taxes, financing or a future sale: we look at the options through your goal. You also hear what the numbers mean.

  2. 02

One person from start to finish

Emberg is Anastasia's own firm. The same person sees the whole picture, prepares the calculations, filings and contracts, and sees the matter through.

  3. 03

On time with the Tax Administration

We track the deadlines for the work we do for you. When the Tax Administration asks for clarification or a tax audit is coming, we set out your position with clear reasons.

In clients' and partners' words

On working with Anastasia. Some of this work predates the firm. Translated from Finnish.

Client
I started my own business, but I have no expertise in accounting or administration. Anastasia took these matters on, so I can focus on what I do best. She is reliable and quick, and I don't need to keep an eye on her work. I know that everything is always done on time, and if she needs anything from me, she remembers to call and reminds me more than once. She can explain things in a way an ordinary person understands.
SME owner
Client
As a long-time entrepreneur, I was used to an old-fashioned way of doing the books: all the paperwork went in once a month on paper, and receipts were always getting lost… Since becoming Anastasia's client, I've seen how much easier an entrepreneur's life can be. I now send receipts electronically through the system as soon as the bank transaction is made. It saves time, and lost receipts are no longer a problem. Anastasia has also put the company's contracts out to tender and is very careful that the company doesn't pay for anything unnecessary… Contact with banks and lenders, the authorities and insurance companies also goes through her.
SME owner
Partner
I have worked with Anastasia for several years on financing the company's transport and machinery fleet. The cooperation has been smooth and straightforward. I have felt there was mutual trust and respect. For example, her answers to various requests and enquiries have always come quickly.
Equipment financing
Partner
Over several years of working together, I have come to see the company's director as a versatile, energetic and efficient expert in business finance. Anastasia has broad practical experience and excellent people skills, which make it easier to get things done and to handle even tough negotiations with different stakeholders.

Switching accountants

Getting started or switching accountants

Every new client starts with the same four steps, including when you move from another accountant.

  3. 03

    Start date and authorisations

It works best to start at the beginning of a month or financial year. You give us a Suomi.fi authorisation, your previous accountant hands over the records, and we agree how your receipts reach us. Check the notice period in your current contract.

  4. 04

    Ongoing work

We handle the agreed tasks every month. When we need something from you, we ask early.

Pricing

How bookkeeping is priced

Two companies can need very different amounts of bookkeeping, so we price each one separately. These four things decide the price.

  • Number of documents

Purchase invoices, sales invoices and receipts per month.

  • People on payroll

How many people you pay and how often.

  • Company form and reporting

Oy or toiminimi, your VAT period and how often you need reports.

  • One-off work

Budgets, contracts, meetings and insurance tendering are priced separately.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

Do I need to speak Finnish?

No. We can work with you in English. Filings to Finnish authorities are made in Finnish, and we tell you what was filed and why.

What do I need to do each month?

Two things, in practice: take a photo or upload receipts and invoices to the agreed system as soon as you get them, and reply when we ask something. We handle the other agreed tasks.

Do you work with sole traders (toiminimi)?

Yes. The price is based on the same things as for everyone else: number of documents, people on payroll, company form and reporting. Bookkeeping for a sole trader is often lighter than for a limited company.

Which registers does a new company need?

Most companies register in the Trade Register with one start-up notification at ytj.fi. Whether you also need the VAT register and the prepayment register depends on the business. We'll go through it with you.

Can you prepare the budget for my Tempo or Migri application?

Yes. Business Finland decides on funding and Migri on the permit, so we can't promise the result. We make sure the figures stand up to a close reading.

What are the main deadlines?

The most common ones: salary payments go to the Incomes Register within five days of payday. VAT for a monthly period is due on the 12th of the second month after it, so January’s VAT is due on 12 March. Employer contributions are due on the 12th of the following month. We track the deadlines for the work we do for you.
